The Springfield Police Department is continuing to investigate a homicide.
Two bodies were discovered at an apartment on Union Street overnight Wednesday.
The S-P-D says there were gunshots fired at officers who were on the scene, and that incident is also under review.
Springfield Police have not talked about a motive.
They have made no arrests in what are the 9th and 10th murders of the year in the city.
