Woman seriously injured in stabbing in Springfield early Friday morning, police say

A woman was seriously injured in a stabbing in Springfield early Friday morning, Springfield Police Department spokesperson Ryan Walsh said.

Friday at around 1:30 a.m., Police responded to a report of a woman who was stabbed near the 200 block of Union Street, according to officials.

First responders rushed the woman to Baystate Medical Center for treatment. Police said the woman was seriously injured during the stabbing.

The Springfield Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating the stabbing incident.
