A new musical about the lives and love story of Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln will start an extended engagement at the Hoogland Center for the Arts this summer – and perhaps for many summers to come.
“The Lincolns of Springfield” was written by Terry Cranert and is produced by his wife, Rebecca.
It will premiere June 15 at the Hoogland Center for the Arts and will run each weekend through the end of July. The couple says they hope to bring the show back here each summer – but are also in talks to stage it in New York or even possibly London.
