Springfield police are investigating a stabbing Sunday morning that sent several people to the hospital.
The victim was found in the 19-hundred block of South 16th Street with wounds to his head and back; the 26-year-old man’s injuries were believed to be life-threatening, but at last report, his condition had stabilized.
As police were investigating that incident, they learned of a second stabbing victim, a 29-year-old man who had been taken to the hospital from a residence on East Pine Street; a woman with him was also taken to the hospital.
The State Journal-Register reports that police believe the two men were in an altercation with each other, but their investigation is continuing.
