Springfield woman Indicted for aggravated DUI causing death

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) —
A Springfield woman has been indicted for aggravated driving under the influence causing death.

Sangamon County State’s Attorney Dan Wright says the charges arose from an incident on May 1, at the intersection of Cook and South 2nd Streets in Springfield which resulted in the death of Kevin L. Crews
Wright says Marina Rhone, 29 (AKA Marina Bustamante) is charged with three counts of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence causing death (Class 2).
The matter was investigated by the Springfield Police Department.
Rhone remains in the custody of the Sangamon County Jail on bond in the amount of $200,000.

If convicted, Rhone faces potential penalties of up to 14 years in the Department of Corrections.
