Springfield police arrest two people on drug and gun charges while executing arrest warrant

Two people are in custody after Springfield police found drugs and a gun while executing a search warrant on the city’s east side.

Officers from the Pro-Active Crime Unit, the Street Crimes Unit, and the Emergency Response Team entered the home on East Phillips around 4:30 Friday morning.

They found more than 60 grams of heroin and fentanyl, along with crack cocaine, a loaded pistol, ammunition, and more than $1,100 in cash.

37-year-old Anthony Flynn was booked on drug and gun charges, while another person in the home, 19-year-old Paige Branham, was arrested on drug charges.
