Officers went to the 15-hundred block of East Reynolds Street shortly after 9 Saturday night for a report of a shooting. They found the 22-year-old woman with a single gunshot wound to her upper torso.

The wound was initially believed to be life-threatening, but as of Sunday, the victim was listed as stable. Detectives arrested 23-year-old Daevon JC Jackson of Springfield on a charge of reckless conduct, but say other charges are possible.
