    Veteran's Park to host family fun day in Spring City

    SPRING CITY — The Spring City Tourism and Events Commission, in partnership with the Tennessee RiverLine, Monkeytown Inflatables and Destin to Chill, invites resdients to a fun-filled, family-friendly day at Veteran’s Park.

    “This exciting event is completely free and packed with activities for kids and adults alike,” event organizers said.

    This event will take place on Friday, August 2, from noon to 6 p.m. in Veteran’s Park in Spring City. The Spring City Tourism and Events Commission will have some exciting giveaways at the event such as one adult kayak with a paddle and lifejacket and one child kayak with a paddle and lifejacket.

    The drawing will be held at 5:30 p.m. Everyone attending will be entered into the drawing, just see a board member for an entry ticket. You must be present to win, so stay until the end for your chance to win these amazing prizes.

    Event activities and Highlights are as follows: There will be water slides provided by Monkeytown Inflatables, free ice cream and Icees for kids from Destin to Chill, free hot dogs for kids from Swine Rinds and 200 water squirt guns and sunscreen will be provided by Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty.

    What you need to bring with you includes towels and chairs.
