Caleb Love picks Arizona over Gonzaga

The former North Carolina guard announced his decision on Tuesday

Tommy Lloyd won another recruiting battle.

Caleb Love picked Lloyd's Arizona program over Gonzaga and Texas on Tuesday. Love made the announcement on social media.

Love, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, played his first three seasons at North Carolina. He entered the college basketball transfer portal after the Tar Heels failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. He initially committed to Michigan, then re-opened his recruitment on May 17.

Lloyd, who was an assistant coach at Gonzaga from 2001-2021, lost starting guard Kerr Kriisa to West Virginia in early April. Since then Lloyd has added 7-foot-2 Lithuanian Motiejus Krivas and 6-foot-3 Alabama transfer Jaden Bradley.
