Spencer, IA (KICD)– The City of Spencer is planning to continue mosquito spraying just ahead of Flagfest weekend.

Public Works Director Mark White tells KICD News the spraying schedule is very dependent on weather conditions.

White says the product use for mosquito control can cause some issues for those with sensitive health issues.

The current plans are to conduct spraying in areas north of the Grand Avenue bridge between 11th Avenue West and 10th Avenue East on Thursday starting around eight o’clock with the rest of the community being sprayed on Friday evening.
