During the Nevada Department of Wildlife’s annual Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 10, anglers may fish in any public water in the state without a fishing license, according to a news release from NDOW.

All limits and other regulations apply.

In addition to free fishing on all Nevada public waters, Nevada State Parks will have free admission for Discover Nevada State Parks Day.

Also, NDOW will hold Free Fishing Day events across the state , including at the Sparks Marina. The Rotary Club of Sparks, in partnership with NDOW and the City of Sparks, will host the event from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. It is free for ages 17 years old and younger. Registration opens at 6 a.m. on the south side of the marina. Free fishing poles and bait are provided while supplies last.

NDOW will stock the marina with thousands of rainbow trout and have volunteers available to help youth anglers reel in fish.
