The Sparks Police Department is investigating after a body was found in an apartment on Sunday.

Officers responded to a call of a person down in an apartment at 690 Field Street around 1:30 p.m. on May 28. Due to the suspicious circumstances, detectives were called out to investigate.

The identity of the deceased has not been released. Authorities say the investigation is still in the initial stages and additional information will follow.
