Horace Perry, Sr., age 78, of Southside, TN passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Black officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Horace entered this life on September 29, 1944, in Southside, TN to the late Horace and Idell Perry. He retired from the Zinc Plant and enjoyed swapping stories on the porch at Southside.
Horace never met a stranger. He would spend time around the tow yard socializing with anybody and everybody. Horace enjoyed planting flowers, watching NASCAR, cheering on the TN Titans, and collecting stuff.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Mahon.
Survivors include his children, Methalia (William) Morris, Penny (Stephen) DeLoach, and Bo (Betsy) Perry; sister, Sarah (William) Parker, eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bo Perry, Steven Walton, Brandon Perry, Jonathan Walton, and Emmanuel Bowley.
