A South Lebanon man is facing animal cruelty charges after officials say four animals, all infested with fleas, were taken from his home.

Police say on Jan. 20, officers were notified of possible animal cruelty in a home on the 1100 block of South First Avenue.
Three dogs and a cat were found in 49-year-old Roland E. Laughlin Jr.'s home. Each pet was malnourished and infested with fleas, officials say.

After an investigation, police say Laughlin Jr. is being charged with aggravated animal cruelty along with four counts of animal neglect.
