South Euclid police follow lead on stolen car to Walmart but can’t nab suspects

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- A Westlake resident reported at 9:30 p.m. May 24 that her vehicle had been stolen and she was tracking it to the Walmart on Warrensville Center Road.

Officers responded to the store and found the vehicle, but it was unoccupied.

Surveillance video was reviewed and showed what appeared to be five teenage boys exiting the vehicle and entering the store.

They left the store shortly after officers arrived in the area, but did not return to the vehicle.

The suspects were last seen on surveillance video walking through the Oakwood Commons shopping Center toward TJ Maxx. It was believed that they started walking in the opposite direction when they saw police in the area.
