Prosecutor's Identify Three Victims Killed in Major Accident on Route 1

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Prosecutors have identified the three victims that were killed in a major car accident at the intersection of Ridge Road and Route 1. The victims have been identified as follows: Charisse Nelson-Bailey, age 22, Daniel Vida, age 28, and Maria Passalaris, age 25.

The crash occurred at 9:26 AM on Friday, April 12. Authorities say that a tractor trailer had struck a van at the intersection. The van then struck two other vehicles and the tractor trailer caught fire. Images from the South Brunswick Police Department show flames and smoke billowing out of the tractor.

“Today has been a tragic day with three lives lost in this terrible crash. My heart goes out to the families and friends,” said South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Haydukca in a released statement following the accident, “Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers."
