SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) -

Lawns and farms have been very thirsty around Michiana the last several weeks, but it looks like some relief is on the way. We’ve got one more dry day before a storm system finally moves through, clears the smoke from our skies, and wets those parched roots. Admittedly, not the best forecast for those hosting graduation parties tomorrow - but at least your lawn will be a little greener.

Morning sunshine today will give way to increasing clouds in the afternoon. Shower chances increase this evening and into the overnight hours but we’ll stay mainly dry during the daytime hours with a high around 85°.

Mostly cloudy on Sunday with rain showers throughout the day, especially in the afternoon & evening. Most of Michiana should get a good soaking of about half an inch of rain, with some areas receiving as much as a full inch. It’ll be cooler tomorrow with a high of 73° and lows dipping into the mid-50s early Monday morning.

Behind Sunday’s rain and cold front, temperatures will stay in the low to mid-70s early next week - but it’s a short reprieve from the heat. Expect temperatures to rise back into the 80s to low 90s as we get closer to Father’s Day weekend.
