Notre Dame Hits High Marks For Elite Wide Receiver Jaime Ffrench During Visit

Star 2025 Florida wide receiver Jaime Ffrench recaps recent Notre Dame visit

This past weekend was a massive recruiting opportunity for the Notre Dame football program, who just opened for spring practice last week. Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench was one who made his first ever trip to South Bend.

The 2025 wideout has been on the board for the Irish program for some time, originally being offered back on December 28th. This initial visit seemed to turn intrigue into legitimate interest for the Florida star.

"The visit went amazing,” Ffrench told Irish Breakdown. "I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Notre Dame is a wonderful place.”

Going into the visit, Ffrench talked a lot about wanting to be able to see the facilities and understand the culture at a deeper level. Leaving the visit, both parts really showcased themselves.

"Some of the best parts were just meeting with the coaching staff and touring the facilities,” Ffrench explained. "All around, it was just special up there. It’s extremely unique, like a family.”

Thinking back to an interview before the trip, some of the things that Ffrench said that he absolutely needed in a school where “it feels like home and who is the most family oriented.”

Ffrench and the other recruits had the chance to watch the team go through spring practice. Seeing both the players and coaches in action was a great opportunity. That practice hit high marks.

"The practice was electric,” he exclaimed. "From the players to the coaches, they were just competing with such great energy. It was infectious.”

The 6-2, 175-pound pass catcher is already considered a consensus four-star recruit across every major recruiting platform. Ffrench peaks as high as the No. 41 overall player and No. 10 wide receiver on the 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports. On the Rivals ranking, he is ranked as the No. 50 overall player and No. 9 wide receiver in the class.

Ffrench has already collected some impressive scholarship offers so far. Some of the notable programs who have offered include the Irish, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, LSU, Texas A&M, Penn State, Wisconsin, Mississippi State, Maryland, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Missouri and Georgia Tech among others.

The Florida native put together a dynamic sophomore campaign for Mandarin. He led the team with 44 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns. Ffrench averaged 15.3 yards per reception with a long of 65 on the season.

He is the younger brother of former Pittsburgh wide receiver Maurice Ffrench, who was a standout receiver for Pittsburgh from 2016-19. During his career, the older Ffrench hauled in 156 passes for 1,637 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ffrench also rushed for 379 yards and four touchdowns on 49 Carrie’s (7.7 yards per carry).
