Notre Dame Set To Host Talented Florida Wide Receiver Jaime Ffrench For An Important Visit

Florida pass catcher Jaime Ffrench set for a big visit to Notre Dame this weekend

During the recent Pot of Gold offer event on Friday, Notre Dame extended an offer to star 2025 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench. His offer actually came back in January, with this recent offer serving as more of a “re-offer” opportunity for the Florida standout to be a part of such a cool event.

Ffrench is now ready to make his first trip to campus this weekend to take in a spring practice. They are a program that he is very intrigued by and is ready to learn more about the Irish.

“I am really excited to see the facilities and get to know more about Notre Dame,” Ffrench stated. “It’ll also be cool to check out the campus and sit down to talk ball with the coaches to get a feel for what it is like.

“I want to find a place where it feels like home,” he continued. “I also want to find a place that is the most family oriented and what the academics are like.”

As a star pass catcher, with a high level of talent and coming from a football family, there is plenty of interest from all over college football. So far, there are several schools who are standing out. Is it quite a list of notable programs.

“Recruiting has been a blessing,” he said. “There is nothing more I can really ask for to be honest. Florida State, Alabama, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Michigan, Georgia and a couple others as well.”

As it is always the case, getting players on campus is a big deal. When it’s a recruit’s first trip, it can sometimes be a game changer. Seeing how Ffrench and the staff mesh this weekend will be something to keep a close eye on.

The 6-2, 175-pound pass catcher is already considered a consensus four-star recruit across every major recruiting platform. Ffrench peaks as high as the No. 41 overall player and No. 10 wide receiver on the 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports. On the Rivals ranking, he is ranked as the No. 50 overall player and No. 9 wide receiver in the class.

Ffrench has already collected some impressive scholarship offers so far. Some of the notable programs who have offered include the Irish, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, LSU, Texas A&M, Penn State, Wisconsin, Mississippi State, Maryland, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Missouri and Georgia Tech among others.

The Florida native put together a dynamic sophomore campaign for Mandarin. He led the team with 44 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns. Ffrench averaged 15.3 yards per reception with a long of 65 on the season.

He is the younger brother of former Pittsburgh wide receiver Maurice Ffrench, who was a standout pass catcher for the University of Pittsburgh from 2016-19. During they stretch, he hauled in 156 passes for 1,637 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ffrench also rushed for 379 yards and four touchdowns on 49 Carrie’s (7.7 yards per carry).
