The South Bend Table Tennis Club welcomed competitors to the IUSB Student Activity Center for a tournament on Saturday.
The 58th Robo-Pong St. Joseph Valley Open saw 200 participants from 22 states and Canada to compete for $10,000 in prize money.
The scheduled 29 events were divided into different categories based on age and skill level.
Indiana University South Bend Table Tennis Club President Brad Balmer said, "There are times you come to our club and you see an 80-year-old play a 5-year-old. And there has been times when I have had 10-year-olds beat 70-year-olds. So it's a sport for any age and it's inexpensive, it's healthy, it's great for eye-hand coordination."
The tournament is back Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the IU South Bend Student Activity Center.
