Notre Dame Extends Pot Of Gold Offer To Cornerback Blake Woodby
On Friday, Notre Dame extended an offer to Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy cornerback Blake Woodby, who is one of the fastest members of the 2025 recruiting class. This offer was extended as a part of the Pot of Gold offer extravaganza, which has become a proud Irish tradition every St. Patrick’s Day.
Woodby is considered a four-star recruit on the Rivals ranking. He is currently considered the No. 58 overall player and No. 6 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class according to their ranking.
The Maryland native has already been courted by several impressive programs. Some of Woodby’s more notable scholarship offers include the Fighting Irish, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, LSU, Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Maryland, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech among others.
The 5-10, 180-pound defensive back was a stellar member of a defense that allowed only 114 points all season. Woodby also saw limited opportunities on the offensive side of the football, but was still able to take his lone carry 63 yards for a touchdown on a jet sweep.
It’s tough to ignore the job that Mike Mickens has done coaching the cornerback position for Notre Dame. Woodby represents yet another target who could excel potentially in South Bend.
