Notre Dame Extends Pot Of Gold Offer To Legacy Linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng
The Pot of Gold offer extravaganza got off to a hot start on Friday morning. An official offer was extended to a very familiar name in Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, who is one of the top defenders in the 2025 recruiting class.
Owusu-Boateng is the younger brother of former Notre Dame All-American Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who was an absolute star for the Irish during his career from 2017-2020. During his final two years in the blue and gold, collecting 142 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, an interception, seven pass breakups, five forced fumbles and another four fumble recoveries.
Owusu-Boateng is considered a four-star recruit by Rivals. He currently sits as the No. 55 overall player and No. 5 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class according to that ranking.
The former DeMatha Catholic star has been putting together an extremely impressive offer list so far. Some of the notable programs who have extended offers include the Fighting Irish, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Florida State, Texas A&M, Auburn, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Maryland, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Boston College among others.
The 6-2, 210-pound defender spent the first two seasons of his high school career as a part of DeMatha Catholic in Maryland. He has recently announced that he will be transferring to IMG Academy for his final two years.
Owusu-Boateng was previously offered by the staff all the way back on January 21 of 2022. He’s a player that they have been on for a long time, which is cool to see him finally get his Pot of Gold officially.
