Ohio State University announces new OSU-Newark dean-director to begin in August
NEWARK − Ohio State University announced on Thursday the selection of Matthew Smith as the next dean and director of Ohio State-Newark, beginning Aug. 1. Smith currently serves as dean of the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences at Radford University, a public university in Radford, Virginia, where he is also a professor of communication.

Man pleads guilty to fatally stabbing his sister in 2023
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A 70-year-old man has pleaded guilty to killing his sister in 2023, the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office said. Court documents said then-69-year-old Michael Wright and his sister, 66-year-old Rhonda Jones were in a domestic dispute at a house on Vaughn Street on May 7, 2023.
