Jamie McMurray is set to be the final guest analyst in the Fox broadcast booth during the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season at Sonoma Raceway.

The 16th and final NASCAR Cup Series points race of the Fox/Fox Sports 1 portion of the 2023 broadcast schedule is scheduled to take place this Sunday afternoon at Sonoma Raceway.

Following Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350, which is the second road course race of the year, NBC and USA Network are set to take over the broadcasting duties for the remainder of the 2023 season.

The NBC and USA Network portion of the schedule includes the final 10 races of the regular season and all 10 playoff races.

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway is also the final race during which Fox is set to take the approach they have taken since 2022.

After Jeff Gordon left Fox following their portion of the 2021 season to focus on his new role as Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, Fox has brought in various guest analysts to commentate alongside full-time announcers Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer, rather than bringing in a third full-time announcer.

But beginning in 2024, they are set to have three full-time announcers again, with Kevin Harvick set to join Joy and Bowyer once he retires from driving at the end of the 2023 season.

The final Fox guest analyst of the 2023 season for the race at Sonoma Raceway is set to be Jamie McMurray, who made two appearances in 2022 but hasn’t yet joined the booth in 2023.

Along with Joy and Bowyer, McMurray called the races at Kansas Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway last May.

The final race of the season on Fox Sports 1 was this past Sunday afternoon’s lightning delayed Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.

There were two guest analysts in the booth for this race instead of just one, with Michael Waltrip and Kenny Wallace joining the full-time duo for the first time this year.
