Commissioners: take back control, downsize airport
Dear Pitkin County residents and commissioners: While following the back and forth about the airport question, I keep wondering why no one is offering an obvious solution?. I wish you, our dedicated and well-intentioned Pitkin Board of County Commissioners, whom I really respect, would do for the airport what you have done with housing construction: Downsize! You recently limited the size of new homes from 15,000 square feet to 9,250 square feet and possibly an even smaller size in the future.

Children’s theater, reimagined and revolutionized
When it comes to theater in elementary schools, one thinks about styrofoam trees, wooden houses and children at the front of the stage singing songs. TPO Company and Interactive Theatre subverts that paradigm by creating pioneering, multi-disciplinary performances that meld music, dance, art, sculpture, digital media, lighting and sound into a one-of-a-kind immersive experience for children ages 4-10.

Merrill: Citizens against Bigger Planes opposes both recent Aspen airport layout plans
Ironically, Jamie Klein’s letter, “Understanding the facts of Aspen airport,” on April 3 contains errors!. First: Klein is correct that passenger arrivals depend on bed space. If the expansionist forecast were based on bed space history, it would have predicted 2/3 LESS growth and no “need” for bigger planes.
