Car smashes into Dollar General, Slidell Police say
SLIDELL, La. — A car plowed through a Dollar General store on Robert Boulevard in Slidell on Tuesday afternoon, according to local police. The Slidell Police Department said they believe the driver "inadvertently pressed the accelerator rather than the brake" and that's when the car smashed through the store's glass doors.

SLIDELL, La. — A couple in Slidell were arrested after police say they left an infant inside of a car unattended while they shopped at Walmart. A citizen says they saw the infant alone and unattended in the running car in the parking lot and notified a Slidell Police Officer who was working detail at the Walmart.
The St. Tammany Parish sheriff investigating vandalism at a Mandeville synagogue
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help locating a person caught on camera allegedly spray painting graffiti on a Mandeville synagogue April 16. The Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook Tuesday that it is investigating the vandalism incident at the Northshore Jewish Congregation. The person who was caught on camera is believed to have left the scene in a dark-colored Honda Civic. The spray painting took place around 1:30 a.m.
