LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Today sees a threat of both fire weather and severe thunderstorms. High winds and dry air to the west means fire danger is critical today, with moist air to the east acting as thunderstorm fuel. Severe threats include hail up to baseball size and winds gusting off of some storms above 70 mph. There may be a few tornadoes as well.

Noon Notebook: The Inside Out Foundation’s 4th Annual 4-Man Scramble
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) The Inside Out Foundation is hosting its 4th Annual 4-Man Scramble on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Rawls Golf Course, 3720 4th Street. Registration and Lunch begin at 1 pm, tee off is at 2 pm. Each team is 4 people at $600 per team. Individuals can sign up for $150 and will be placed on a team. Saran Could Put the Wrap on Texas Tech's Transfer Class
Well, at least there's no restraint of trade. As of this writing, approximately 1,700 college basketball players have entered the transfer portal, and roughly 20 percent of them have signed with another program. Lubbock Matadors return to Lowrey Field for upcoming season
