Father’s Day craft event for kids
On Saturday, June 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame will celebrate Father’s Day by holding a crafting event for kids. Participants will get to create a Father’s Day Champion card and decoupage a wooden coin box designed just for Dad. The Museum’s many horse-related activities will also be available, including light refreshments. The cost is $10 per child and parents are free. Craft supplies are limited.

Chester Academy announces top students
The Chester Union Free School District recently announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2024: Mykhaylo Hychka and Braydon Detwiler. Hychka will be attending Boston University, pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. According to the school district, Hychka has always been passionate about technology and the differences it can make in the world. He has been an active member of the community, holding leadership positions in several clubs such as Kiwanis Key Club, Jazz Band, SAGA and National Honor Society, and assists with the Modified Track Club. Additionally, he has been a captain of the indoor and outdoor track teams and plans on competing in college.
North Carolina Man Arrested in Paterson Custody Dispute, Child Reunited with Mother
PATERSON, NJ – A North Carolina man was arrested on June 7 for interference with custody, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes, Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi, and United States Marshal Juan Mattos announced. According to a statement, on May 28, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 27th Street and 21st Ave on a report of a custody dispute. A Paterson resident reported that the father of her 10-month-old daughter had not returned the child to her on May 26, pursuant to their court-ordered visitation agreement. On June 5, after an investigation by the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, a warrant was issued for Anthony Smith’s arrest.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER On June 7, members of the United States Marshals Service apprehended Smith in North Carolina. The child was found in good health and was reunited with her mother. Smith is pending extradition to New Jersey. Smith could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
