SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Summer is right around the corner, and Siouxlanders again will have the opportunity to enjoy outdoor live music downtown.

Representatives of Downtown Live held a press conference Friday at the Sioux City Public Museum to announce the dates and lineups for upcoming concerts. The upcoming concerts will be a part of June Jam on June 22, where there will be live music and activities on Historic 4th Street from noon to midnight.

Downtown Partners Event Coordinator Elizabeth Stewart said that June Jam dates back to the 90s.

“It was something that everybody in the city loved, so we brought it back for RAGBRAI last year and we made it big, so we are excited to bring it back this year because it was a success last year and everyone loved it,” Stewart said. “We are expanding this year with three stages, bringing on some great supportive agencies, and we look forward to just growing this event and providing everybody with a great time.”

Attendants can expect other activities on June 22 such as the Sioux City’s Farmers Market, which will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be Rib Fest at Battery Park at the Hard Rock, which will benefit Camp High Hopes.

The “Art Affair” is also part of the festivities. In this event, the public will be able to purchase art from local artists. This event will help the Art Sux for Kids Foundation, a non-profit helping children in Siouxland obtain art education and support art in the community.”

“We invite everyone to come out and support everything happening in Downtown Sioux City,” Stewart said, “and we just look forward to taking over 4th Street and giving everyone so much to do on six twenty-two, said Stewart.”

June Jam will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from noon to midnight. For more information, on June Jams and Downtown Live, check out our website at Siouxland Proud dot com.
