MOUNT ANGEL – North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity announced that it is hosting a Community Family Fun Day from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Peters Garden development, 1459 Pine St., Silverton.

NWV Habitat is also holding a fundraiser from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the same location.

The family-oriented open house will feature a bounce house, face painting, games, crafts and the like. It is free. The “Collective Impact Celebration and Benefit” fundraiser will feature speakers, a birdhouse themed silent auction and paddle raise to fund the next home in the development.

“With one home completed, and the next three in process, building is continuing at a rapid rate, despite delays experienced in the early life of this development,” said NWV Habitat Executive Director Dan Haun. “Local donors and foundations have funded the first three homes, and now NWV Habitat is driving to raise funds for the next home at our upcoming fundraiser.

“We are looking forward to seeing our community come out, see what we are doing, and support the wonderful families we are building houses with. Together we can make a difference.” Haun added.
