Christopher Wyze Talks “Stuck In The Mud” in Mississippi
There’s one place synonymous with—and completely intertwined with—the identity of Christopher Wyze & The Tellers: Clarksdale, Mississippi. The “birthplace of the blues” is where it all began: where frontman Christopher Wyze found a kindred spirit in Ralph Carter at a harmonica camp over a decade ago, where Wyze and Carter workshopped their debut album’s tracks on a picnic bench outside the Shack Up Inn, and where they later returned to carve their legacy into the blues’ storied tradition.

Grammy Museum MS Announces New Exhibit
‘80s Rock: The Wildest Decade in Music will open to public on September 26. Loud guitars, booming rhythms, big hair, and eye liner ruled the day. But yet, many of the bands who were catapulted to superstardom during the decade lacked one essential component — respect. In their new special exhibit titled ’80s Rock: The Wildest Decade in Music, GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi tells the story of one of the most under-appreciated eras in rock history, exploring how genres like hair metal and glam metal became so popular and why their fans remain so loyal to this day.

L.V. Hull: Love Is a Sensation
L.V. Hull: Love Is a Sensation is the first major museum exhibition devoted to the art and life of the self-proclaimed “Unusual Artist” Ms. L.V. Hull (1942–2008). Born in McAdams, Mississippi, Hull merged artmaking and the Southern art of “visiting” to craft a creative practice that allowed her to commune with her inner spirit, her Creator, her community, and visitors from around the state, region, and world. Using found objects and paint and glue from Walmart, Hull produced a vibrant, immersive, and evolving art environment at her home of 34 years in the small town of Kosciusko, Mississippi. She adorned every surface and corner of her house, front porch, and garden with carefully arranged assemblages of everyday objects and signs, often painted with her signature dot pattern.
