Weather Alert Day: Severe storm & flood risk Monday
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - As we kick-off this new work week, it’s going to be a soaker. Due to numerous upper-level disturbances sliding across our region, we can expect rounds of rain between now and Tuesday morning. Each round could bring a good dose of rain, and the rain could be heavy and prolonged at times...leading to big flooding concerns. Areas south of I-20 are under a Flood Watch now through Tuesday morning due to being the most favorable areas to get upwards of 3 inches... possibly up to 5 inches. The rest of our area may not get as much, but could still receive anywhere from 1-3 inches.

Starting with Tuesday, highs today linger in the lower 80s, with partly cloudy skies. There is a risk of rain in the afternoon, as stray showers and storms remain a possibility. Wednesday will be sunny with a high in the mid 80s, so make plans for Hump Day if you have the chance! Thursday, much of the same.
