Arrest made after man shot dead on David Raines Road

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that happened May 24 on David Raines Road.

On Thursday, June 1, police arrested Reginald Roberson, 24, and charged him with second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

The shooting initially happened just after 9:10 p.m. that Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of David Raines Road.

Officials say a man was found dead in a driveway by his friend. He suffered from two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. The victim was pronounced dead on-scene, police say.

Later around, 8:03 a.m., the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office released the name of the victim. He was identified through fingerprint analysis as Eddie Lee Rogers, 72.

An autopsy was also ordered.
