The October 14th meeting between Oregon and Washington in Seattle was seen beforehand as the biggest game in the 2 teams' illustrious history.

The Washington Huskies made it to the end of the season undefeated. Over the course of the year they won games in many different ways. At times the offense carried the day while the defense was maligned in the media, but people who have actually been following this team understands that the defense has continued not only to become a strength of this team, but has won them many of the games later in the season.

Meadowdale defeated Sedro-Woolley 65-62 (OT) Jaymon Wright scored eight of his game-high 21 points in overtime as the Mavericks won their season opener on the road against the Cubs. This year, Inglemoor introduced a new winter sport: girls flag football. Flag football has been on the rise since the announcement that it will be a sport at the 2028 Summer Olympics. Athletic Director Kealey Stanich (she/her) founded the team and said its introduction was extremely well received by students.

Two years after watching their own fans rush the field in Seattle, the Washington State football team stood in the corner of Husky Stadium watching the No. 4 Washington Huskies carry their kicker on their shoulders as purple-clad fans swarmed around them.
