The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team came in fifth  place in their first-ever trip to the state tournament as a team.
There were 150 teams in 2A in the state at the start of the season. The tournament was held at Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin.
The Lady Comanches carded 403 on the first day and had a 410 on the second day for a team score of 813. Mason scored 668 points to claim the 2A girls team title and Crawford came in second place.
Chelsea Whiddon carded 100-97-197 to lead the Lady Comanches. Megan Winkenwerder scored 98-103-201. Brianna Sofka recorded a 100-106-206. Grace Migl had 105-104-209 and Lauren Faldyn shot 116-106-222.
