Shiner girls basketball:Lenehan, Sevcik win special AD awards

The Shiner Lady Comanches had two sophomores receive special awards for the 2022-2023 28-2A All-District basketball.
Morgan Lenehan was selected as Most Valuable Player and Callie Sevcik was named Defensive Player of the Year.
Making the First Team is senior Haley Patek and junior Rylee Vancura. Senior Megan Winkenwerder and junior Brooke Palmer got Second Team honors.
Senior Alyson Mraz, juniors Amelia Pohler and Aimee Mitchon, sophomore Kailey Boedeker and freshman Addy Siegel received Honorable Mention.
Patek, Pohler, Mitchon, Palmer, Sevcik, Vancura, Lenehan, Winkenwerder, Siegel, Boedeker, Mraz along with managers sophomore Jenna Pohler and senior Julie Ivy, all made the Academic All-District Team.The Lady Comanches won the district title with a 12-0 record and were area finalists.
