On May 23, 20 members of the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Psi met at the Sheridan Public Library.

President Tina Kitchel began by offering the highest honor Phi Beta Psi has to induct both Arnola Pickett, a charter member of Theta Alpha Alpha, and Judy Van Meter, as life-time members of Phi Beta Psi. These two ladies have made it possible for the Chapter to become a source of love and friendship for members in the Sheridan community.

President Kitchel read a letter of congratulations from Phi Beta Psi National President Jenny Mefford to Pickett and Van Mater, and to the Theta Alpha Alphta Chapter as a whole in recognition of their contribution. Both ladies were presented with a red rose, a certificate signed by the National President, and a life-time pin.

Van Meter, who has 62 years of membership in the Sorority, shared what the organization has meant to her and the difference it has made in the fight against cancer.

It was a beautiful ceremony, and honors were well-deserved by both Judy Van Meter and Arnola Pickett.
