SHELDON—A 25-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 8:40 p.m. Sunday, May 21, on a charge of public intoxication.
The arrest of Saul Matta-Barrios stemmed from a report of an intoxicated individual at Sheldon City Park, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Matta-Barrios had bloodshot/watery eyes, impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage.
He admitted to drinking about 12 beers and registered a blood alcohol concentration of .238, according to the incident report.
