    Do you know these two Shasta Family YMCA Athletes of the Week?

    One softball and baseball player are being recognized for their outstanding achievements on the field.

    This week, a U-Prep and Foothill high school student-athlete are being highlighted. It's time to meet the two Shasta Family YMCA Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments over the last few weeks.

    Hailey Pebley

    Sport: Softball

    School: U-Prep

    Class: Junior

    Team contributions: The Panthers sit at the top of the Northern League with a 4-0 record and are 16-2-1 overall and Pebley, a right-handed pitcher and third baseman, has helped U-Prep along the way. Through 16 innings pitched, she has allowed 16 runs, striking out 17 batters. At the plate, Pebley has 12 runs, one home run, and four stolen bases. The Panthers play Central Valley at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday followed by Lassen at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

    Tyler Ferrari

    Sport: Baseball

    School: Foothill

    Class: Senior

    Team contributions: The Cougars are sitting in third place in the Eastern League with a 5-4 record, 12-6-1 overall. Helping Foothill along the way has been Ferrari, who has recorded 12 runs, 20 hits, and five RBIs. Foothill takes on Pleasant Valley in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday and ends the three-game series at 4 p.m. Thursday.
