Merritt Island plays in the FHSAA Class 4A state baseball semifinal round Tuesday in Ft. Myers at Hammond Stadium at 7 p.m. The Mustangs, 24-5, cruised through the regional playoffs, winning their Region 2 title over Hernando, 10-0. Their opponent is South Walton, 20-10 and winner of nine in a row.
