Two vehicles sustained heavy damage in a crash on Interstate 5 on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 1:45 p.m. the operator of a southbound sedan made an unsafe lane change and struck a southbound SUV that was traveling in the left lane about a half-mile north of the Roberts Mountain Summit.

The vehicle hit was forced into the median concrete barrier. No one was injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The driver that caused the accident, an 86-year old man from Shady Cove, will be submitted for a Department of Motor Vehicles re-test.
