SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — Sevier County deputies arrested a man suspected of shooting a 60-year-old and threatening to ignite an explosive. According to the Sevier County Sherriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Asheville Highway on Thursday and found 60-year-old Mark Kennard with multiple gunshot wounds. Three other people were inside the home when the shooting happened.

ROGERSVILLE — The Cherokee Lady Chiefs suffered a tough loss on senior night, falling to the Sevier County Lady Smoky Bears in four sets. Senior Lady Chiefs honored at the game were Reece Nichols, Kendyl Fields, Ava Morgan, Kylie Carpenter, Rachel Young, Leah Lipe and Sophie Weems. The Review will highlight those seniors in a future edition. The Lady Chiefs won a close opening set 25-22. The visitors then came roaring back to win three straight sets, 25-15, 25-9 and 25-19. In JV action, Sevier County topped Cherokee in three sets, 25-18, 21-25 and 17-15.
