Jake Thomas Road extension opens in Pigeon Forge after 10 years
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A project 10 years in the making opened in Pigeon Forge Thursday: the Jake Thomas Road extension. The extension is a little over two miles long and made of five lanes. The road connects the existing section of Jake Thomas Boulevard to Veterans Boulevard, serving as a direct way to get between the Pigeon Forge Parkway and Veterans Boulevard.

Great Smoky Mountains Natl. Park — Park officials said most roadways in Great Smoky Mountains National Park are closed after high winds swept through the area overnight.
