Trio of thieves creates shoplifting diversion: Seven Hills Police Blotter

SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

Theft: Broadview Road

On May 2, police were dispatched to Meijer after a loss prevention officer observed customers stealing merchandise from the Broadview Road store.

While en route, dispatch told the officer that the suspects had left in a Jeep traveling on Orchardview Drive. The arriving officer was unable to find the shoplifters.

The employee said two women had entered the store and attempted to return items without a receipt. At the same time, another woman entered the store, collected clothing items and left without paying.

Police are investigating.

Unwanted gun: Drexel Drive

On May 4, a Drexel Drive resident came to the police station with an unwanted gun.

The woman was cleaning her basement when she found a box containing a gun and bullets belonging to her deceased father-in-law.

The grandmother feared that her grandkids would find the box. The police accepted the weapon and ammunition.
