Teen arrested after social media threat mentions school shooting in Selma, police say

SELMA, Calif. (FOX26) — A teenager was arrested Wednesday after officers say they threatened to shoot up a school in Selma.

According to the Selma Police Department, officers were told about a threat that made its way onto social media involving Selma High School.

That threat, investigators say, mentioned a school shooting.

Following an investigation, officers with the Selma Police Department say the suspect was identified as a teenager and no weapons were found.

That teenager, officials say, was arrested in Selma and booked into the Fresno County juvenile hall.
