A 12-year-old girl has been charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree escape after forcing her way into an occupied bathroom stall and stealing a cell phone at Round1 Bowling at the Southcenter Mall. The victim claimed she was punched and yelled at before her phone was taken.

Police officers were able to track her phone’s location by using one of the victim’s friend’s phones. The suspect was detained on the second floor of DEFY Seattle once she was located.

Six hours before the robbery occurred, BI Monitoring was alerted that the suspect had a strap/proximity tamper with her tracker. Her mother confirmed with police that she cut off her tracker and left the residence, placing her on escape status.

The suspect was transported and booked into King County Juvenile.
