UW men’s rowing team through to grand finals in all eights

The University of Washington men’s rowing team is through to the grand finals in all three of its eights, announced the UW Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications on Saturday.

The Huskies had two wins and a second-place finish in the 120th Intercollegiate Rowing Associate National Championship Regatta semifinals on Saturday at Mercer Lake.

The Huskies’ varsity four also finished in first place in the petite final.

On Sunday the Huskies will compete for the national title in the first, second, and third varsity eights. The UW was one of just three programs to earn a place in all three grand finals, alongside California and Yale, according to the UW.

Sunday’s races will be at 6:04, 6:28, and 7:08 a.m. PT.
