Seahawks Pro Day Plans Revealed; Watching Top QBs?

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly set to watch their third top quarterback this week at his upcoming Pro Day on Friday.

Even after an unexpected playoff run for the Seattle Seahawks, they hold the No. 5 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft thanks to the Russell Wilson trade to the Denver Broncos, and seem like a team who can pull a swerve on draft day by changing the board for teams who pick after them.

Do the Seahawks need a quarterback? No. Geno Smith just inked a three-year, $75 million deal.

But do they want to select one? That will be determined as the draft draws closer, and judging by the Pro Day visits from the Seahawks, it seems they are considering all options.

On Wednesday, head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider were in Columbus, Ohio watching Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, even taking a selfie with the Buckeye. They then traveled to Tuscaloosa on Thursday to see Alabama's Bryce Young, as first reported by The Seattle Times

But that won't be the last signal-caller they see, as The Seattle Times added that they plan on watching Will Levis's Pro Day at Kentucky on Friday.

Obviously, Ohio State and Alabama offered many other prospects for the Seahawks to watch and consider at No. 5; the Crimson Tide's Will Anderson could be the best player available if he falls to Seattle and would fill a need at edge rusher. The Seahawks convert to a more 3-4 scheme which will employ outside linebacker/edge rushing hybrids.

Ohio State also had Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the talented wide receiver who garnered more attention as a top-10 prospect following the NFL Combine.

There is no telling what the Seahawks will do at No. 5, as many scenarios are circumstantial. But Seattle is doing its due diligence and investigating every option.
