Pike Place Market to celebrate first day of spring with free daffodils

SEATTLE — The countdown to spring is nearing its end, and Pike Place Market is preparing to celebrate.

The market will celebrate its 26th annual Daffodil Day on Monday to mark the first day of spring.

Visitors will get to pick up two free daffodils to take home from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until supplies last.

The daffodils will be located under the Clock & Sign, where visitors can also learn about the local farmers who grew them.

Four of the market’s farmers – Blong’s Garden, Neng Garden, Nguyen Family Farm and Shong Chao’s Farm – will be providing flowers for the celebration.
