Def Leppard's front-man is assuring fans he's fine after a brief case of "altitude sickness" during the South America leg of the band's world tour with Motley Crue. Joe Elliott was admitted to a hospital Friday night in Bogota, Colombia, whose elevation of 86-hundred-feet is more than three-thousand feet higher than that of Denver, Colorado. Elliott was on stage the next night and Def Leppard reportedly played a full set. Elliott said in a video on social media prior to the show that he's "alive and well" and "going on at 8 p.m."

Ian Fleming's James Bond novels are being edited to remove offensive material. New editions of the classic Bond novels are expected to hit shelves this spring with racially insensitive language removed. A new report in The Sunday Telegraph claims that Fleming's estate worked with "sensitivity readers" to flag and remove what they see as language that reflects outdated attitudes about race. The news comes at a time of increased cultural sensitivity in the publishing industry along with the James Bond movie franchise is trying to reinvent itself as the series searches for a new double-O-Seven actor.

You can call it a swing and a big miss by the Department of Transportation in New York City. A sign honoring baseball legend Jackie Robinson went up in Queens on the Jackie Robinson Parkway with a major typo. The sign features a picture of the Brooklyn Dodgers' great, but his first name was misspelled, omitting a "c" in Jackie. Just recently, the MTA misspelled famed painter Georgia O'Keeffe's name on a wall inside Grand Central Madison, by omitting one of the "f"s in her last name.

Metal is closing in on Grunge on the Fans' Ballot for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Iron Maiden remains in fifth place in the voting, but is now less than a 100 votes behind Soundgarden. Warren Zevon holds onto third place, but George Michael has overtaken Cyndi Lauper for the top spot. Fans can vote once per day through April 28th on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website. The top-five finishers will comprise a Fans' Ballot that will be included with all of the other ballots.

Newly-inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dolly Parton is among those paying tribute to Olivia Newton-John. A state memorial service was held for the late actress and singer on Sunday in Melbourne, Australia. Parton told those in attendance "The world lost one of its greatest talents." Olivia Newton-John passed away last August at the age of 73.

According to that theme song from the TV show, Here Come the Brides, Seattle sounds like a happy place. But a new survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau found that Seattle is still the nation's saddest large metro area. The Emerald City ranked number one with the highest percentage of respondents who answered they were feeling depressed and hopeless. Riverside-San Bernardino took second place and Phoenix came in third. Miami is fourth and Boston fifth.
