SeaTac’s Glacier Middle School on temporary lockdown after report of weapon

Glacier Middle School in SeaTac was on lockdown Thursday after a report of a weapon on campus, according to the school district.

Just before 1 p.m., Seattle police responded to the scene in the 2400 block of South 142nd Street.

Just after 1 p.m., officers were on the campus and searching the school.

At about 1:38 p.m., Seattle police completed their sweep of the school.

While the school was in lockdown, parents were asked to not come to the school.

Instructions for parents that wish to pick up their children early from school will be provided by the district.
